Software Engineer - Dec 2009
The successful applicant will have excellent knowledge of objected orientated design and development in C++, C# or a related language. They will be familiar with software development life cycles and be able to drive specification, design, development, testing and delivery of software products. They will be able to learn quickly and have an understanding of techniques for maintenance, refactoring and development of an established code base. They will have excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team, discussing and developing ideas with peers, guiding junior staff and presenting findings and progress to management.
Applicants should have a good degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related discipline. Experience in the lighting industry would be an asset but is not essential. Experience of technologies such as .net, WPF, WCF, Windows Embedded, Visual Studio and Team Foundation are desirable but not essential.

Service and Technical support engineer - Jan 2010
This position is principally desk based with occasional on site visits being required. You might be someone who has been “on the road” but now wishing to have a more stable position or you might come from a rental company background. Ideally you will have broad product knowledge from the theatrical lighting or AV industry. You should live or be willing to move to within an easy commute to Park Royal. We will give you in depth Avolites product training and you will have access to the Avolites Software and Design team as necessary. You may also be required to assist with spare and replacement part orders.
